Quit playing Vendor Roulette
I am imagining that insurance companies tape a list of vendors on the wall, throw darts at the list, and choose the vendors their darts hit. I certainly hope that this is not true for your company.
The insurance technology industry today is highly competitive. Thousands of vendors are pushing their products into the offices of insurance companies. Public information about the quality of vendors is not widely known. Many insurance companies have reinvested their profits into purchasing new technology to help improve their business process. The returns on such investments have only yield mediocre results and most of the times, it was due to insufficient information to make a good decision.
Quit choosing your vendors the way you would pick a number in roulette. The “Vendor Roulette” is not a game for the feint hearted. Not only is this way of selection ineffective, it can have serious repercussion on your daily business operations. Stop playing this game and you can save both invaluable time and money for your company.
Choosing a vendor should not be a gamble. It should be an informed investment.
